Star Wars: Bright Future

Season Four; Opening Crawl

It is a dark time for the galaxy. The SITH EMPIRE has tightened its grip and secured a hold over the remnants of the GALACTIC ALLIANCE. The Galactic Alliance fleet is on the run, hiding in the vastness of space to avoid destruction. EMPEROR ROAN FEL is in exile somewhere in the Unknown Regions, having been deposed from his throne. The JEDI ORDER is in hiding, with hundreds of bounty hunters trying to cash in on the bounties placed by the Sith Empire.

The crew of the BRIGHT FUTURE continue their task of fighting against the Sith. VASCO RAAN still has several contacts from his Alliance Intelligence days and has used those contacts to uncover a valuable target of opportunity. It’s a target that could start a resistance movement against the Sith, and move one step closer to victory against the Dark Side.

Chapter Thirteen: Rha Tol Zelada
When tradition, sports, and politics collide, the outcome is usually messy...

Much has occured in the past few months. True to their word, the Hutt Clans have placed a modest bounty on the heroes’ heads, but the only ones foolish to try and claim it were novices. They were sent packing with little effort.

The concencus of the crew of the Bright Future is that they’ve been too reactive to threats in the Galaxy. Alliance Intelligence Agent, and pilot of the Bright Future, Vasco Raanwants to take to the offensive. To that end, he has made contact with the remnants of the Galactic Alliance for a task that they could undertake against the Sith.

In the meantime, Governor Vida contacts the heroes with a task. He has been spending a considerable amount of time and resources trying to build an organized resistance to oppose the Sith Empire. His intelligence souces have provided information that the Sith Empire is not as consilidated as they claim. Krayt’s fleets are spread thin, trying to enforce his rule in the galaxy. Individual Sith Lords are being sent out with minimal support to bring systems under Krayt’s banner out of fear of reprisals. If enough worlds can be convinved that Krayt’s empire can be resisted, they may be able to disrupt Krayt’s empire long enough for Emperor Fel to retake the throne.

He wants to send his daughter and her companions to the Twi’Lek homeworld of Ryloth. The Vida family clan holds considerable sway over the Sou’Koras (Head Council), and their strong ties to the Galactic Alliance may help bring aid to Geroon II from Admiral Stazi’s Alliance Remnant Fleet. Governor Visa tells Ky’ree that he will contact his sister, Sou’Koras Misso Vida, and have her expect her arrival.

Campaign Update
When last we left our intrepid band...

Months have passed since the crew of the Bright Future were seen and active in the galaxy. They have been laying low, working on their own agendas and tasks. Some have been training, some have been enjoying a brief respite from the conflict in the galaxy. Some have been working, and the fruits of their labors are starting to bear fruit.

On the world of Geroon II, one of the last of the former Imperial Remnant worlds to bend knee to Darth Krayt’s Empire, our heroes meet to discuss their next plan of action. Too long they’ve been reacting to the Sith, to the criminals in the galaxy, and even to the Force. The time has come to seize control of their own destiny, and become a thorn in the Dark Side’s side.

Will the future allow them to stay the course?

Chapter Two

The heroes needed another place to modify their freighter, so they met up with the wandering shadowport known as the Errant Venture. Met by the ship’s owner, Captain Horn, the heroes were able to re-supply and re-arm themselves.

The Knight-Apprentice, Soln Devist, was approached by a twi’lek trader who wanted to sell him an Imperial Knight’s light saber. Soln discovered that the saber was his mother’s, and after interrogation of the twi’lek it was discovered his mother may still live.

The group travelled to Courlag to a city where Devist’s mother was last seen. She was in a suburb, surrounded by imperial patrols looking for her at the command of another Sith Lord. The heroes ran the blockade, avoided patrols, and rescued Imperial Knight Hawkava-Devist. Having lost both hands to the Sith Lord she was assigned to monitor, she was weak and wounded from her ordeal. Fleeing Imperial patrols, the group decided to head for Geroon II; Ky’ree Vida’s homeworld.

Chapter One
It has to start somewhere

The heroes were all refugees aboard the Astral Countess, trying to flee the Core Worlds. Their cruiser came under attack by pirates from the Black Dagger Clan. After repelling the pirates and assisting the other passengers, they met Ace Karrde. Escaping in the Pirate’s own attack freighter, the heroes fled before an Imperial patrol ship arrived to inspect and detain both crews.

The group travelled to Tattooine, so Ace could enlist the help of one of his allies to alter the ship’s transponder. His ally, one of the Darklighter family, was recently killed by a Tusken Raider attack. After speaking with a desert hermit named “Crow” and a local Swoop Gang, it was discovered that Darklighter was killed by his brother as part of some test.

In Mos Eisley, the heroes caught up with the murderous Darklighter and the mysterious Darth Pyre. They defeated them both, with Darth Pyre escaping off a balcony.
